Katie Osprey and Her Best Friends
Katie Osprey looked up from the ground And she knew this was no way to end a night on the town “Why did you dump me onto the Garden floor” Which made her four-legged love come back from the in-gate door You see she was a show jumper in a big event On a major stage that the producers were able to rent She gave a kind wave to the crowd who paid Accepting tonight she and her partner did not get a good grade A million miles away there sat a guy In a library on a Saturday Night since he would not lie Across the books there were a trio of upper-class nursing students debating nutritious food to cook Studying how to talk was the lessons that he was just starting to learn While these sorority sister’s education was needed if the chef found himself with a nasty burn The freshman headed over Knowing what was written in his books and folder Had a friendly conversation with the three who were ready to get their degree They were being nice with the health care profession in their sights. On this weekend evening they all parted in a friendly way Going back to their dorms where they stay A month later Katie Osprey she was at home Relatively alone It wasn’t her fault, neither it wasn’t his Just a misstep miscommunication that made her jumper round go immediately fizz With a cup of tea Katie Osprey did some pondering About her relationship with the grand prix horse that seemed to be wandering. Looking up at the lighted Christmas tree that was in the room that reflected out to the moon Katie Osprey tried to be positive thinking what her friend was doing After they did not get the crowd last month to hollering and wooing Deciding to go to the barn That was on her farm She decided to make peace For the uncomfortable feeling to cease. When she arrived at her friend’s stall She talked to her four-legged companion and broke down this divided wall. Suddenly there was a noise from outside And there was that guy from a million miles away who would not lie. Smiling she loved to say ‘Hi’ “I haven’t seen you since summer and that was a bummer. “ “It is me,” he said to her “I am now three and half years to that degree” Katie Osprey told him what happened at the garden which got her excused from the class without a pardon. Like they were teens the guy listened to her screams. He pointed to the calendar that said tomorrow was December 24th And said let’s take him out for a trail ride how much would that be worth The next day they took this jumper who was going to get a talking out for a timber walking Without any leather she in front and he in the back this friendly encounter was such a strategic communication tact All three of them were having fun while enjoying the outdoors That was artistically imitated on the competitive grand prix tours Riding bareback brought them close and allowed them to be able to converse Which had nothing to do with something called a winning purse. “I am glad we did not jump today,” she did say. Katie Osprey did tell him she was going south this winter and was starting to be less bitter. “I will be competing near your school hoping to win blue, would you come and see me through?” Smiling the guy who does not lie told them yes And Katie Osprey no longer felt she was a mess. Now the guy who does not lie was back to his scholastic routine Building goals from his dreams Feeling confident wishing a good day To the nursing students who knew how to get their way. He was heading to watch Katie Osprey ride Knowing she was going to give it a nice try It was only one round with it mostly unlikely Katie Osprey would be on the ground Arriving at the show in the allotted time The guy who doesn’t lie a seat he did find. Katie Osprey came into the ring To compete in the sport that should be respected by those who are called King Announced as a couple the two who were the same in New York Went immediately to work Taking each fence using good scope Along with a little new hope. Everything came out clean with no one getting mean In fact, it was right on the mark And the two seem to be coming out of the misunderstanding dark After Katie Osprey’s job was done The guy who does not lie came over to congratulate the won. When twilight came the two said goodbye They had a good friendship since there wasn’t a lie It is trust that is needed in life and this is more important then just having a wife And when it comes to getting dumped that good friend is nice to have to get over that nasty hump
