Oh One Oh Two Two Oh Two Oh
Oh One Oh Two Two Oh Two Oh By Franklin Price 01/02/2020 Oh one oh two two oh two oh Alliteration as we go I hope the twenties, will be fun For this our century twenty-one First twenty years are over now We have arrived, I wonder how The U.S.A.'s been through a lot Are we okay? I think we're not Barely had the century changed When terrorists, who were deranged, Knocked the towers to the ground Came from the middle east, we found There was no country to attack Sources said should be Iraq Saddam Hussein should take the fall Before his weapons killed us all We sent our troops to that far land We killed Saddam and half his band Was not long 'til we would know That this was not the way to go So then we tried another plan Fight terror in Afghanistan To wipe them out, we made a vow And we've been there, from then, 'til now. Since then we've had three presidents Not sure that any made much sense Bush believed what he was told He acted wrong but he was bold Then Obama came along He rearranged the same old song History was made, he was not white Leaned to the left and not the right He was a solid democrat Republicans not fine with that Did what they could to block him out His every move would make them shout Made it through eight years of him Cooperation growing dim A man of change was on his way He is the one we have today The long enscounced had filled the swamp They loved the circumstance and pomp The country's heart had lost its beat Resuscitation's no mean feat Trump came along, we thought a joke. He touched the minds of heartland folk Neither party wanted him Thought he was running on a whim Clinton won big city vote Trump, deplorables of note When the college was applied Donald would begin his ride Was the apprentice, ran for fun When all was said, he was the one The Constitution had its way Electoral College had its say Russia must have had a voice He was their interfering choice The Democrats are socialistic Not too far from communistic The ax had split the party rail Democrats must make Trump fail Would take some time, but must impeach There was a lesson they must teach Investigated everything To make him kiss their ass or ring He did not bow down to their work So they voted and impeached the jerk. That's where we are in this new year The roaring twenties now are here A century ago, we could not drink In the here and now, we do not think Prosperity now is mostly clear Trump says, through tweets, that he's still here The Hill should now cooperate Should do it now, could be too late.
