Hurt
Devil that tore inside my soul Ripped to tread for life not to know Taken what’s mine block out of mind Friend of hurt who stole my kind Love so near the secrets to hide Began the day when sat in the chair Cutting to fall piece by piece Breathing of shivers palms no see Stair by stair tremble of steps Blind of fog shadow of night Locked inside no words of sound Blackened out the tears that drowned Healing of grief repressed to show Marks of truth on body to hide Head of sores the wall that stands Alone to freeze eternity land Freeze to stick the times to show Heart no beat veins that blocked Flashing back bare foot to run Gasp of breath when my life was done Child of me grown up of fright Hiding of life that was not right Wanting to voice but frightened to tell lies to keep or going to hell
