The Passing On
The Passing On (things families do, again and again) The traditions of our house, are nearly gone. My son will have no children, my daughter, does not want any. Autism has played a death card, to the "name" of all to follow. Yet in the passing of one world, lay the makings of another. I tell you true. It is in you... that the spirit of God moves. He spreads across the land; on wind and rain, and breeze, the very air, we breathe. The eve of the Lord's birth, a very special time. we played a game, to remind... all of us to be grateful, and happy, to be; loved on, cared about, shared with, and thought important. "Christmas Eve Gift" we would say, at the beginning of the day. The first one to the cheer, was offered a cup of cocoa (or a non-alcoholic beer) hehe A tiny gift; a hug, a kiss, a box sent... holding a prayer to a friend. No elephant in the room. A wanted and sought after treasure, to remember and bring back at your leisure and pleasure a measure of the moment that real "'joy" was realized; and belief took form... as Our Lord, Jesus was born. Traditions...
