My Life Will Never Be the Same
The year was nineteen sixty nine the 18th of December My baby boy ~ my son was born A day I'll always remember But on this day eight weeks ago My dearest son I loved him so My darling boy just 49 He was the only child of mine So cruelly taken So sudden So cruelly taken So fast On the 18th of October On this very day the day he passed not knowing it would be his last Unable to accept this I can't believe he’s gone For to see your son go first Well really this should never be I have been here for so long therefore it really should be me It breaks my heart to know that I may not see him again And I truly know for sure my life will never be the same Now as Christmas Eve gets closer I just want to hide away For to isolate myself from all the joy on Christmas day And if only I can have one wish To see him once again To hold him close To see his smile To reminisce just for a while… When he returns from whence he came my life will never be the same Written 18th December 2019 - Sleep well my son...
