My Kid Sister
My Kid Sister I have one, or at least sort of. I have one, that I was never around… growing up. Divided families do that, they get confused, and even lost. Traditions are hard to hold, and histories get distorted. The fact(s)… I grew up without… her. Not her fault. Not mine. Theirs. If I had a kid sister, to hang around with, to ride a bike, take a trike, go for a hike, I would pick you. You are funny. You make me smile. You have bad hair days, like me. You make jokes, I laugh, but no one else does. Who cares. Maybe we are not kin. Maybe, I don’t care. Maybe just the fact, that we are friends, will be enough, for anyone that takes note. They can write it down, And take it to the bank, but it will go nowhere… as I will always be, right beside you. My best friend, My sister, You.
