How To Write a Pantoum Rhyme
Typically, a pantoum is made up of two rhyming couplets, however, Western writers altered and adapted the form, the importance of rhyming and brevity diminished. So, pantoums do not need to rhyme. https://www.poetrysoup.com/dictionary/pantoum I started off writing a poem with a rhyme scheme of A/B/A/B C/C D/D with 9 syllables per line for an example to write the Pantoum Rhyme poem. You can also use a Monorhyme scheme. 1 Autumn's moon endowed against the sky. A 2 Night brief lull in early calm slumber, B 3 While nature's errs hurled into good-bye; A 4 Crisp veiling life into a wonder. B 5 Adorn quaking leaves as if they sigh C 6 Before the breeze has gleaned a reply. C 7 Drifting round umber earth rushing burr; D 8 Warm coals soothe the time, no more summer. D Then I copied and pasted each line in the order they are supposed to be for a Pantoum form. A/B/A/B B/C/B/C C/D/C/D D/ 3A / D/ 1A .... D - "A", is the second line of the first stanza... D - " A" , is the first line of the first stanza Using "How Many Syllables" to check my syllable count" counthttps://www.howmanysyllables.com/syllable_counter/ Syllable Counter https://www.poetrysoup.com/syllables/syllable_counter.aspx and "Rhymer" or "Rhyme Zone" https://rhymer.com/askew.html https://www.rhymezone.com/ The same poem except I copied and pasted the repeated lines like a Pantoum.
