Freedom Lost
Freedom Lost (Hong Kong) We had everything. We tasted the sweetness, of perfection. The chance to fly, The belief, that we… could reach the stars. It was real. We could feel their brilliance, we merely had to want it, and it was ours. Dashed to the ground, by the riot policy. A huge country, that takes, no notice of human rights, frailty of facts, forced to listen to hate speech. Kill them all. They do not conform. They look like us, but they are not. They have been free. We are not, but we want them to suffer because we have been cheated. “We don’t want to be happy, We want you to be sad.. and dead. We want your land, your stuff, and your offerings… But we do not want you. You have been damaged, by the flag of liberty. We must gouge out your eyes, for even seeing a different way. You are cancer living, That must be cut away. Die!” Still the students hold up their banners. They throw meaningless insults to dogs. They decide that it is better, To live free, Then to live in tyranny. God give them hope. God give them peace. God give them back, Their country, and their way… of life. Humbly prayed, Amen.
