Before the Gates of Alahsar - Version - 2 - 11
Chapter..........1..........Part..........2..........1. Now, my Lords and Ladies, the Dark Man and the captain, stood apart from all, The Captain's mount and Turvehr, they were uneasy as they pranced, the Captain reined in his charger, Turvehr was given his head, both these mighty warriors faced each other, the Captain bowed to the Dark Man. The Captain did smile at the Dark Man, they were indeed friends, he took the Dark Man by the right arm, the warriors salute, "My dark friend, I hoped to meet you on this way," the Captain said quietly, as he controlled his mount. "Well met my friend, I see you have prisoners," the Dark Man said quietly, as his eyes scanned the bridge, the Captain did shake his head, as he did look back on the bridge, "No, my friend, envoys." "They are free, in the golden land by whose word is this done?" The Dark Man cried out these words in anger. "It is by the order of the king, my mighty friend," the Captain said, almost apologetically. Utamol, the sword of power, it was pulled from black scabbard, the Captain now manoeuvred his mount, he was now between the Dark Man and the bridge, He shivered, as he thought he saw two tiny fires, deep within the great Cowal, in anger, the Dark Man's eyes were kindled, hate's fire surely burned. "Make way my friend," the Dark Man commanded, it was then, the high pitched scream of a great black spider was heard, "Put away the sword my friend, please," the Captain pleaded, "These, do not enter the city," the Dark Man commanded, as he pointed towards the bridge. "They must, Dark Man, they are envoys from the Dark Lords." So be it, the envoys enter on foot, the spiders stay out." The Captain could only nod, the Dark Man, he pointed Utamol towards the bridge, With great skill and speed, Utamol did find its home. "Let us ride to Alahsar, we shall pass over these dogs," the Captain said, the Dark Man nodded, they slowly moved forward, the jewel of the gold land awaited, also the Dark Man's lady. My Lords and Ladies, the jewelled kingdom lies before us, charge your horns, join me in antiquity, the mighty plain, before Alahsar, Badicha, the emerald green sea, upon this rich green carpet, knights of Alahsar shall come. their golden dragon banners, billowing in the wind, the shining stars of battle, come home to Alahsar, their frightening prize between them, the king's guard ride now from Alahsar, they ride now, across Badicha.
