Devoid
And then you wake up one day Lie in bed with bloodshot eyes The slight tingle of existence you no longer feel Staring blankly on the ceiling, you lay still Realized how every struggle Seemed useless, seemed futile All the past wrongdoings, Trying to fill your own shortcomings, Still unable to make them proud. Still unable to make a sound. Still unable to fill the gaps. Still unable to overcome the lapse. And then you try to go back to sleep, Close your eyes so as not to weep Thinking straight, that's what you think Devoid of choices, lost so much time. "The things I dream, would no longer be mine." You're on the precipice now--on a brink On the edge of sharp and haunting memories. Life is not a piece of cake, You reek of failures--a very stinky fume~ You search for a home in your own room. So, you'd rather go back to sleep And everything will end if you'll never wake.
