Chasing Rabbit
Chasing Rabbit By: Iris Roberts Chapter I A summer day filled with joy; an everlasting dream once revealed a treasure so pure. I am sure it could not be seen by just anyone, for they had to be keen. Now this gem was hard to find and needed a trusted guide to lead… Beneath this forest and under the earth it was indeed! A young girl so innocent with the world’s reflection in her eyes, skipped across the way, thinking of a different life beyond that day. Never-the-less, she was blessed, a girl so young and fair; she decided to stop by the bank. The water was enchanting and made her stare, where she noticed the bushy tail of a hare. A distinguished bunny he was, clad in a tailored silk suit, a top hat and a fancy spectacle over his left eye. Shimmered time hung from his waistcoat pocket; he checked it very rigorously as if he was in a hurry to go somewhere. Confused and intrigued she says, “How funny, a bunny wearing clothes?” “Ha!” She cackled. “I must be seeing things.” Without a hitch he spoke to her. “I assure you child, I am real; I am here to reveal the truth for you to steal.” “I see you have come to the right place, so hurry along and follow me this way into the rabbit hole where the garden lays.” In an instance she made a decision to partake in the revision; a journey soon glorified as she followed along, into the darkness where light had prolonged. Prelude The truth will always be in plain sight, that’s inevitable, but one must know the lie.
