Today Is Enough
Today is Enough The morning came early. In fact I was up all night. I watched the coming and going… of the stars. God’s work ever at hand, everything that I see and hear, everything that I feel and touch. Kneeling on the carpet, the tile, the floor, grass, dirt, and lower still, on my face… How can I express? How can I feel part of… YOU? Mighty miracles in the great “Book”, Yet still I have seen them first hand. I am not that old, but the truth is still real! Yesterday, today and tomorrow, all the same. It has not changed, only the people… those for, and those against. Quiet of spirit, meek of heart, humble in the walk. Lord, I speak your name, whispered with reverence, tearful with joy, complete with acceptance. I share you with all those that will let me. My last breath, may it be, pleasing, may it be a sweet song, gathered up, then taken forward… repeated again and again, in chorus, by the angels in heaven.
