The Dead Lights
POEM "THE DEAD LIGHTS" by martin gedge The fear that your unknowing when the eyes are shut down tight moving through the shadows in the darkness of the night so silent still and quiet creeping over while you sleep watching every moment while your nestled down and deep touching all the surface of your flesh and showing skin feeding on the sweating door a pore to walk right in in and out each open valve to which you are apart surrounding every organ just to crucify your heart the room about to suffocate and penetrate the brain to cause a clot that marks a spot onto the deadly vein and life becomes a breathless fight while gasping in despair a dream to split the vital stream that vacuum sucks the air and clutch as much onto the sheet a beat to surely die for one to switch the blackest pitch to bat its evil eye and there below the halo lamp a damp and pitted look from all be told the bitter cold a soul upon the hook the night be stung to take it's young with fever and it's bite to wake a spell and feel the hell but never see the light.... by martin gedge©
