When Heaven Comes Down To Comfort You
I’ll never (nor should you) forget what’s her name when I was blue (wading in the deep, shark-infested sea) She came out of it (the blue, that is) I was bumped from my seat into a payday that wasn’t there and there she was without fanfare. I was drip drying my manicure, curing my heels... when subtly she spoke. For amnesia’s sake — I don’t know what words moved from her silver lips. A silent pin dropping would have shaken the sainted floor. Out of the blue, her mouth moved and her words fluttered. They were like a bouquet thrown by a bride, so alive. I wonder if she flew away after she spoke to me. In her wake, I floated by ~ ~ ~ walking on seashell sharks, merrily brushing their pussycat teeth. 9/21/2019 Sponsor - John Lawless I'LL NEVER FORGET WHAT'S HER NAME) Poetry Contest
