The Love That Found Me
I've heard the rumors and whispered lies I've seen the phoney smiles in people's eyes I've witnessed betrayal within the family tree They tried real hard to manipulate me From an early age I went against the grain There were times I was on the edge of going insane Fighting off the demons for control of my brain I was losing my life to the constant pain Until one night I left my body and was shown God's love. And he showed me the evil in this world from high above He showed me the Angel's who were always there for me Fighting for my soul and to keep me free I felt unworthy and a sense of shame To be in his presence before his eternal flame. He breathed his spirit into me and gave me the hope. That if I always seek him first he would help me cope I dont claim to be perfect, many times I've let God down But he has always led me on solid ground I will never deny the love he has shown to me How could I not serve the one who died to set me free.
