Tiny Miracles Spread Hope
mother nature has a way of retracting her tale told- weeping when icicles melt, for she knows their weakness; thawing can be so rough like weathered wood needing dehydration, shattered glass needing repairing, renovation needed to heal this disease of hopelessness- I sit abandoned in the nook made by hand, seats under the window call my name as sights outside pull like gravitational force ~heart yearning to embrace warmth~ I fear now the worst is to come, never knowing how to move on without collapsing into a nothingness so deep that drowning is my only way out- (lungs fill with oceans of worry) saturated in loneliness am I, heavy-hearted with an aura of darkness; lifting my hands in prayer, I wonder why… when hope was sought, despair was found- when redemption was craved, internal sin nourished me light shines through my bay window- I see what should have been seen yesterday and beyond- clouds shaped like ivory wings bestows a clarity I’ve been longing for since youth praising angels high gratitude surrounds like air- I’ve been forgiven… time to let go 180 words total September 11, 2019 Caren Krutsinger
