Being Alone
Being alone isn’t so bad There are many reasons why you should be glad Like not sharing a bed or putting up with snores Or listening to them talk about football, which frankly just bores The smell of their feet, or flactulance too The way they leave the seat up on the loo Or stealing your chocolate and wine. But then there are the things you miss, like a hug and a kiss Somebody to look after you To dry your tears when you get upset To love and care for you Somebody to fix things when they break To cook you a meal, however much mess they make To make you laugh to make you smile To make all the irritating things worthwhile so which is best do you think A lonely bed or putting up with the stink Getting fat with all your chocolate to yourself Or sharing them, which is better for your health I think I know which I’d prefer But the preference is yours to make.
