A Knickerbocker Glory Please
A Knickerbocker Glory please Was always his reply He loved this ice cream sundae Waited patiently as it was made He loved the cream He loved the fruit He loved the sprinkles too but his favourite was the cherry perched on top ~ bright red and new He carefully ate around it taking only from the side At times it would get buried and sometimes it would hide But on this day this fateful day faster than the speed of light a seagull swooped gave out a shriek and snatched the cherry with his vicious beak Swallowed in one the evil deed done The moral of this story to eat a Knickerbocker Glory is to eat your cherry first now his target it has gone So that pesky greedy seagull is now likely to move on There is really nothing worse than to fly into a glass headfirst your head will be stuck fast your last breathe will be a gasp suffocation ~ asphyxiation death by Knickerbocker Glory now that would be a gory story... Written 25th August 2019 after witnessing a rather similar scenario as a man was fighting off marauding seagulls, whilst trying to eat his KBG, haha...
