Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Something strange did come over me just a couple of years ago, a way of confronting the world that I think many never know. The realization that others will never truly know my mind, so living by their opinions would be truly asinine. How could they know the vagaries that help inform my own judgment? These thoughts were the beginning of my magnificent indifference. I mean who cold know me better then I know of me myself? And what I’m seeking out in life, who could be better to tell? Why fear what they will think of me, if they think of me at all, what makes their words better than mine? Who says that they’ll make the good call? To make decisions by your own will is the only thing that makes sense, You should not have it otherwise, choose magnificent indifference. Because it always seemed to me that we think mostly of our lives, so who else could make informed choice? Who’d be qualified to decide? No one, and yet, I see people terrified of what others think, surrendering their sovereignty so they won’t appear the weak link. The thought of being on their own leaves them all frightful and tense, they seem to live in mortal fear of magnificent indifference. I often try to tell those folks that they will never feel more free; that the true individual enjoys the greatest liberty. Some fear going to the movies, afraid that they’ll be ‘seen alone,’ or won’t even go shopping if they’ll have to do it on their own. In the end it’s a life half-lived that is the final consequence, I’d rather chose to see the world, thank magnificent indifference... For what is life but your chance to exist in a unique way? We exist once and only once so why not live it by your say? I know it can seem scary to win of fail by your decree, but it’s only if you step up that there’s a shot at victory. Trust to your own intuition, though the weight of it seems immense, the rewards will be worth the rick, trust magnificent indifference. I’m not saying don’t take advise, or learn from the lives of others, I’m saying you must make the call, you can’t leave it to another. Because the people who do that will live a life of slow despair, and there one shot at living life will suffer and go nowhere. Don’t worry what others will think, it will lead to your detriment; I hope you choose to live your life with magnificent indifference.
