Let It Out
Saw you today Took my breath away Excited to see you Thought you were passing through My heart melts when I see you smile It’s a feeling I never felt for a while But I pulled back because I’m too afraid I want to hold it in and not let it out I go blank, don’t know what to say I look at you, lost all day Ignoring all the chatter What they say doesn’t matter They don’t know the good in you They don’t know a heart so true But I pulled back because I’m too afraid I want to hold it in and not let it out Our fingers touched, shudders to my knees All I think is God please please please Trying to calm anxieties Suffocating, it’s hard to breathe But I’m so tired of stumbling through life So tired of being cut by a knife So I pulled back because I’m too afraid I want to hold it in and not let it out Did I finally find true love Is this a blessing from up above Let’s get together, go some where It doesn’t matter here or there It doesn’t matter where we go I just want to feel your glow What will it take to get you to see Just how much you mean to me Can’t explain how it got like this Sat at home, made a wish Don’t want to pull back, though too afraid Don’t cast me back, sharpened blade Don’t want to hold it in, I want you to know This feeling inside just grows and grows Want to pull back because of doubt Want to feel safe, want to let it out
