It disappears I fight so hard to wear a brighter shroud And break the screams I hear go through my head To free my shame and speak its’ name aloud And let you see my pain each time I bled But then I think I’m better off just dead This is dedicated to my niece, who has fought depression for years, cutting and suicide attempt.
