Day One
Finally the voice of opening an account won Why? You'd ask Everyday I sit in front of my monitor I am bleeding I am hiding I am running I found my solace when I key in this words that smile back I finally found my hiding place I finally found a home for my words I am finally free Who will tell my grands of freedom I will tell them Today When you are running and hiding A pen and a paper is your solace A stranger who does not judge So when you see me typing across the desk You will not see my red stained tears But each letter is a tear Let me wash my heart from all that pain the pain that has cooked in there for quite a long time now Let these words wash those walls clean See we are three of us Left behind really with nothing Left to figure out life in our own terms Left to survive
