A Bra, a Cane and Old Fashioned Irony
a bra, a cane and old fashioned irony what could be classier? a man and a woman in love, then a man and a woman in hatred. I separated from the mother of my son and with this, her brother’s hatred for me intensified. “they’d catch me slipping!” they said, the classic sentence of the troubled and child minded alike. I walked into the store and saw that ex’s brother, the big bad gangster who swore he’d make me regret not watching my back. I avoided him to avoid jail time and him, his injuries. I had my current whore with me; she caught on quick and asked why I was avoiding. it was explained. later we fought. she called me a “scary as.s.” two words thrown together by coloreds to describe someone who is afraid. to be clear and precise, she isn’t black but let’s not get into that, as I need you to soak the lesson instead of laughing hysterically. I once asked her if she took pride in her street fighting, she said yes. she also said, if she ever had gotten hit, she’d call her brothers. I asked her, “so there’s pride in your fights as long as you win. the moment you lose, you call males." “that’s right!” she proclaimed proudly but sadly and obviously. scary as.s is it? I call Napoleon complex. later that night, she fought the 57 year old man next door. I avoided the loss of my work to attain my home, the loss of my son and freedom. I’m a “scary as.s,” she said. I’m sure coming from a female who takes pride in winning but doesn’t know how to lose, it must be true. I’m sure coming from a female who beats a 57 year old man needing a cane, she had a direct and accurate point on me being a “scary as.s.” By: Chicano Eddie 11.7.2018
