There Was One That a Pure Golden Earth Sought
There Was One That A Pure Golden Earth Sought There was one that a pure golden earth sought, Free from calamities mortals are caught: But shades of darkness wrap our mortal coils, As dawn's bright rays compete against dark's foil, Bringing sorrows that oft bludgeon and maul That scourge of night's irrepressible fall, In cavernous pits sleeping souls may seep, Lost and wailing from woes immensely deep: With the heartaches, life's many broken dreams, Doomed to failure by Fate's conniving schemes, Sacrifices made and life vows broken When man pays truth on falsified tokens, Yet one may find Light's rewarding treasure, In great bounty, beauty of love's pleasures: Its ember glows that soothe consuming fears, Preventing dirge of loneliness and tears Heavenly delights from her gentle kiss, Vows of faithfulness free from serpent's hiss, Promises that Light and Love both have cast Sweetness of night's paradise thought to last: Where joy forgives and forgets errors taught, Bathing in victories that Love has fought Over lies born, and gloom of blacken nights, seeds of humanity's eternal plight! Robert J. Lindley, 6-28-2019 Rhyme, ( Why Dawn's Rise, Oft Promises Hope's Treasures) Note: Not just herein America but all over the world humanity has sank into new lows. The further away we walk from the true Light , the more sorrows we are doomed to have to embrace. Such is a universal law, same way that fire is hot... I that once in youth thought to be a god trampled many on dark path I trod Until that path's fruits tore me asunder cast away all my forbidden plunder In despair, I again sought the true Light Soul's repair, treasure given divine right.
