My Next New Flight
I reached the edge of the cliff It was then, I suddenly didn't feel like I was going to fall I lifted my arms in the air toward the sky above I welcomed whatever it is to happen next A combination of trust and faith wrapped me like a blanket As I felt the fear disperse, like fog erased across the landscape I had no reasons why, it just happpened Maybe I just needed to be pushed this far To see all that I can lose and appreciate all I still have For what I have is life and the air I breathe That at one point , I thought my health would end It didn't, so now this new set of circumstances, Having come upon me, almost feels like a relief Compared to all the slow days of getting here Something has to happen now and I believe it will There is a view of a mountain I know of, in my mind Pulling me forward for some reason Maybe one day, I will be looking at it in person At a time when all this will make sense For right now as my life teeters on the edge of the unknown, I can still see where all my dreams have flown Their destination has always been right I am ready for what I often mention when I write, -- My next new flight -- Heidi Sands 6/14/19
