Time Will Tell
Life is as the wind, ever changing, ever the same. A free spirit, unimagined. Never predictable, never tame. I sense that it is near. A tension in the air. I hesitate, is it fear? To reach out, do I dare? Life, like wind, is not contained. I have felt it slipping from my grasp. It moved on, yet I remained. Links of a chain, with no clasp. I am trapped, behind the scenes. Directing, no one on the stage. I've lost its essence, what it means. I have nothing written on the page. A vision comes, as I intently gaze, a hand reaches out to me. My mind rebels with a misty haze. There is nothing left to see. There has to be something left, inside, that has survived, the tempest past. Knowing it is now up to me to decide. How to live my life my way, at last. Is there enough hope reserved within? Would bringing it forth serve me well? Do I have the strength to begin again? The only answer... time will tell.
