I Have Died Every Time
Your first death happens When you start feeling sad And sad for no reason And you don't know why your sad And you think about it too much And there goes your anxiety attack When your second death comes You thought it would never happen You promised it wouldn't You didn't think it was bad enough But you feel so terrible That the tears forgot to come Your third death follows shortly after the second You have told your self That you'll never feel bad enough to do it You tell yourself that When it happens you have lost You say that you are a survivor But when it happens You're grateful for cats Because you can blame the cuts On them being playful When you have died a fourth time Your brain sings a little symphony that goes like this: You won't think about it Don't think about it Deny It never happened You never thought about it But you did No you didn't Yes you did You thought it on accident After you have died Every time You are still alive Life isn't the same Because it is no longer A question of 'will it break me?' It is a question of 'how much will it hurt?' But you must remember That you died four times And lived to tell the tale You must remember that When it tries to kill you It forgot you were immortal
