Ode To Palm Trees
Ode to Palm Trees Some palm trees are small, some are tall But no matter how they look I love them all Palm trees oh palm trees your fronds are so nice When I look at them, they put me in paradise The shape of your leaves, sharp they may be They pull me from distress and relax me The fruit that you bare, sour they taste and poisonous they can be As I look at your fruit it seems so heavenly Looking at your colors which all seem so bright They glisten in the warm Florida light The bark that you wear brown in color it seems to be As I look at it, it seems as though its smiling at me Some come in clusters some are alone But no matter where palm trees grow, I'll never be on my own The way that palm trees grow always seems to fascinate That’s one reason I live in the sunshine state
