Park Football
park football once school duties were over we all went straight to the park using jumpers for goalposts and play until it gets dark the rule that never got broken and was abided by all was that you could be captain if we played with your ball two captains are picked and flip a coin to pick first each child then judged from the best to the worst the release of the tension as each kid hears his name your social standing made clear before the start of the game just two more players left before the match then begins the kid with thick brown glasses or the fat kid with 5 chins ill have chunky he can go in goal hes as good as having twins you lot can take spectacles and also you are skins kick off loomed and excitement grew on the field of castle batch the formation of 10 forward players and two goalies that cant catch there was always that one skillfull kid that had magnets on his feet and the moody angry one that just cant stand it when hes beat there was always that tall gangly boy with arms as long as legs and that cocky little jack the lad who is always calling megs the best bit is when home time looms and its nearly time for dinner it doesn’t matter if your 10 nil up the next goals is the winner and if the team thats 10-5 down scores and wins that game park football rules do clearly state that the victory they can claim
