Constitution Street
Constitution Street is where the Devil Meet On constitution Street you can find many thieves Pick pockets, phone snatchers, and money grabbers Wine bibbers, idle men and youth, Hanging around with their hands in their pockets Looking for something to eat on constitution street You can feel the heat on constitution Street It felt like summer in winter man fighting against woman For the aged old constitution I dressed in a short sleeve shirt And glide mysteriously through the street Everyone stared in awe and look curiously at me I became the talk of the show as I wonder which way to go An old man walked reluctantly across the pavement Clad in an old thick winter coats shabby beard and ragged cloths He hop along and grumbled underneath his breath I walked up the steps towards the station and saturate myself with the amazing architecture and designs, people coming and going And young babies screaming while their mothers hold them close to their bosom to keep them warm It was hard to make out the employed from the unemployed Everyone walked gingerly in a similar way Looking at the constitution from day to day No pen, no paper, no books, no cooks The truth stared vicariously at me And the heathen standing on the other side Appeared as if he wanted to start a fight All of a sudden something confronts me Leading me to the ultimate reality On constitution street the music is sweet, The debate is on and there are many mad men The mad man crossing the street signaled at me to put away my phone because many pickpockets were around He walked hastily in the corner carefully looking out for a stranger to prevent a lasting disaster, he was a real savior The mad men on Constitution Street knows everyone around The mad men knows when a stranger is in town Constitution Street is crowded, with old rules and old saw drills And the train yard with its unique design is elevated on the other side. Sixteen century bolts are still fasten in the doors and old pages are sticking to the shores; the laws of yesterday are applicable to today and constitution is running around in circles holding conference with their had reaching towards the heavens The constitution surrounds me pointing me to my destiny People browsing around and others are looking for a way out On Constitution Street you can find food to eat, Not many fancy restaurant are around The people selling in the street are barely getting along Many shops are empty and stores are not selling or making money Too much garbage is around and thieves scared the tourist out of town. It would be nice if the police clean up constitution streets so that you can feel the breeze. Constitution street is full of deceit reminent of the old Roman Empire still Hang in desperation over the burnt out houses and broken window, rewriting the sins of the past and hoping for justice at last The constitution is the constitution Fabulous buildings and great architecture More buses than passenger line up in the street Green bus, blue bus, yellow bus, red bus driving round the constitution trying to mend the division Everyone held on tight to their bags and purses Hoping and praying that they don’t get rob Constitution Street is full of live I wonder what it is like at nights The homeless takes up residence under the bridge The buses are well kept in the garage under a shed but the homeless has no bed to lay their head Constitution street is big and wide It could swallow up hundred thousand of mountain bikes Constitution street has no political beat, it is not governed by one man, it is governed by the people who are rulers of the land The people are the constitution and you can see them walking up and down the street as they change the constitutions in living colors Rich and poor, young and old Black and white, blue and purple Gay and lesbians Boys and girls People of all races and color Join hands in hands Holding their banners and principles in their hand They all gather together to participate in the new constitution Constitution Street is where the heavens meet Constitution Street is where my heart beats.
