A Place Called Home
Perhaps it was a place with love enough for everyone, and yet, you felt alone It may be the birth-place from which you have never ceased to roam It could also be a place where you never really felt you belonged It might well be the place from which you ran to flee the storm I think that we all believe that there is no place like home I have heard it said that home is where your story began It has also been said that home is where your heart is And there are those in tune with a song whose hearts were left in San Francisco or some other lovely place And me? Why everywhere I have ever been, I could have stayed there forever. Except for my birthplace, no place to me was ever a springboard to something better. My heart has been a lot of places and it seems I never left it anywhere. Moreover, when circumstances or other things dictated that it was time to go, I took my heart with me, and there it has remained wherever I have gone. 05282019PoSoup
