A sonnet should have fourteen lines of rhyme; And yet you’ve written half-a-dozen more. Standards have dropped a little since my time. I know my critics say that I’m a bore But all my sonnets total one five four And every one had fourteen lines for sure. And furthermore, your rhyming pattern’s wrong. It should not be A B A B B B.
