The Final Note, Pt. Ii
In this dead relationship, I never thought… I touch my lip, and scream for what I sought. This, my last poem, is for my one love. As the lights dim, she is the only one I dream of. I'm running out of time, I wish I could just GO! The love wasn’t prime, I JUST DIDN’T KNOW! I'm not okay, I promise you. Because I awoke today, I can’t make it through. Was it worth it in the end, what happened? To lose a best friend, hope for God send. To see your smile, I look to memories… I think every once in a while, about how I said I would go over seas. You told me no, to never let go of my hold. I said I wouldn’t go, and I wouldn’t trade you for all the gold. So the pain I felt, was so real. By my dead body I knelt, praying not to heal. So I apologize, for what I’ve done. And yet I realize, you’re not my special one. I never would have seen, this in my future. Now I know what this will mean, but I thought us so pure. Every night when I dream, I see your smiling, loving face. Things aren’t what they seem, for I’m still in this hellish place. As I touch your face, with my caressing hand. I feel your grace, yet it is my time when I stand. This is a surprise, to see you, alone, here. When I see your eyes, they fall tear after tear. Even through my cries, I scream, "THIS PAIN WILL ALWAYS SEER!"
