Lay Me To Sleep
We promised to be forever, it didn't seem so long. Yet I would have never..., never sensed something wrong. I wait for the end, so patiently. My heart no one can mend, I try so stubbornly. But in the end i was heartbroken, and torn. The pain was chokin, and life is what I scorn. Every breath I take, brings more sorrow. Every single mistake, kills me tomorrow. All regrets remain the same, we cannot dismiss. But we feel the shame, when we feel our kiss. I've never ment to let, things get this way. Still I'll always regret, that I couldnt make everything okay. So many things we have done, they wont erase. I guess we weren't the perfect ones, yet I still caress your face. I tried so hard, to keep us from falling apart. But I've been scarred, from the start. Were you ever beside me, I cannot keep. So now I see, just lay me to sleep. Have you even thought, about our relationship. All the times we fought, I felt life start to slip. Lay me to sleep, I don't want to live anymore. Why do you have my heart to keep, It is so sore. Lay me to sleep, I have died. Lay me to sleep, so many times I've cried.
