Today I Said No
Today I said no to Cinnabon... Not because I didn't have the money, Because I did... And not just enough for 1 or 2, But I had enough for more than a few. But.... I said no to One of my most favorite things. Sugary, Decadent, Sticky Goodness... That I decided wouldn't fit into My jeans. I made myself remember, That the Goodness would be fleeting... That the Decadence & Utter Scrumptiousness... Wouldn't really be Treating, And may end up defeating... My plan, my hard work ... Causing me to lose, The Ongoing battle That I have with My subconscious... The prickish jerk. But... I did it... If only for today. If only for this 1 time. It happened, and No matter how many times I changed my mind, I changed it back, And I won. Because I said no... To Cinnabon.
