Flagan the Dragon Part 4
The Tale at the Inn Flagan was starting to tire so he built up a fire to warm himself for a short while. As the Inn he would stay was not far away just another couple of miles. He reached Poopy Bay the very next day and at the door left his bags in a pile. Where he entered the Inn wearing a Dragon like grin and the bellman returned a wide smile. Now the Dragon presumed he had booked the best room but the Clerk was being put to the test. The Man was still looking to find Flagan's booking but it wasn't with all of the rest. There was some frustration at losing the reservation so the Manager came forth to be clear. 'I have some good news...we would be happy to chose a room for you early next year.' Flagan tried to be grateful... but was a little bit hateful of the way his plans had been trashed. But he would do his best...not to give in to the stress and do anything considered too rash. Then to make matters worse...he was feeling accursed when he saw his bags were no longer there. The Dragon went straight to the Boss... who considered them lost and refused any blame for their care. The Dragon stood there a while... then mustered a smile as he left feeling a little distraught. But it was hard to stay cool...when dealing with fools so a stern lesson would have to be taught. Flagan walked across the floor...and stood by the door as he wished to keep all those from harm. And took a last look at the place... which had refused him a space and ever so gently pulled the fire alarm. Flagan was enjoying the day...in a chair by the Bay watching the Whales frolic and breech. While behind on the grounds...the Inn had burnt down and the Dragon was left to tan on the beach. From this you can assume...to keep a spare room should a weary Dragon pop in for the day. As you'll have no one to blame... when your home is in flames because Flagan had nowhere to stay. The End This is the end of our story and I have to say sorry for its length and ridiculous plot. But when dealing with Dragons...my tongue keeps a waggin' and I find it impossible to stop. *Congratulations to anyone who has suffered through the whole thing. You win a cookie. *To anyone who might be interested. I will be posting my cartoon 'Bob's Your Uncle' on my homepage. A new one will appear every second day.
