Our Love That Once Rivaled Illuminating Sun
Our Love That Once Rivaled Illuminating Sun Was your light dead, its glow destroyed by dark Your eyes blinded, and our romance cast aside: Twas this, dark thought of loss, that I have died, That you dared to treat our great love as a lark, In your longing heart that my soul did deep entwine Each one of its chambers I filled with my all, Yet such abundance could not prevent our fall Now upon its poison we both must feed and dine. Our love that once rivaled illuminating sun, Gardens set in paradise, in their fullest bloom: We unaware, evil rests not until it brings on doom, To slayeth love, all its treasures thus be undone, Woe to us, our time was but a brief, dying dream,-- Our sweet songs vanishing as glistening of dew,-- Not enough, such true words said, "darling, I love you", Dark of Fate's weeping gasp, birthed its dying scheme.
