Vow of Resurrection
How my own trespasses grip this weary heart That deep pauses of meditation fill the quiet— And I am reminded about One Love bestowed on me Upon a Calvary of thorns , a death paying all sins Linking me with a vow of resurrection. Somehow I reach into an inner core … there, A Lamb’s blood cleanses all self's offenses, While a gentle presence drifts within Like the stroke of Jesus’ unseen hands, Flowing gleaming around towards me: And I bow in humility, in renewed grace, His whispers yearn ---‘ forgive them for they do not know what they do---" this spirit affirming His glory which imparts in me a clear pursuit of earthly kindliness; giving honor to myself, brethren, and the Lord. ………… 0/08/2019 For Chantelle Anne Cooke’s Rising of The Son Contest Reference: Luke 23:34
