50 Words For Poe: Keys
"50 Words for Poe: Keys" He threw the car keys over to her “Freedom keys babe”, he purred “Silver Lady’s my girl” she said, This he understood. “Freedom keys babe, let’s blow this joint, make a getaway out of this stinkin' Hood.” "Sure," she said, glancing over at him, throwing flames from her eyes, "Toto stealing witches can stick to their brooms and burn in their own black goo oozing backyard grey skies with their lost caspering Boo-hoos". He lit another Montecristo Dantes, rolled down the window and sighed, "Say babe, do you think we could make a detour at 50 and go all gangsta today?" he laughed, blowing blue smoke rings in her eyes, this said with emphasis, he felt kinda blessed, it was not a charade. "I mean REALLY go Gangsta". "Sure," she replied, putting on her soft kid leather gloves, hands on the wheel, "The Lotus Eaters at Loon Junction will always educate ya." "This better be good", he chortled with delight. "You can forget Paris" she gave a quick tight smile,"we'll always have big Blue Sky" "Say babe," he turned up the stereo some idol sang White Wedding Rebel Yell. "Yeah babe," her pout smiled a kissable ripe Haemoglobin Red, she rolled her eyes with some exasperation over at Fell, as he said, "I like you real swell...things could get tricky". "You ain't seen nothing yet babe, I've been up to my neck in all kinds of deadly mud, smelly and sticky.” She looked over at him, eyes death-gripping, another short smile, ”I like you too, sometimes, if you play nice for a while”. She tooted the horn to move the toads and the sheep off The Road, they all croaked and bleated indignant yells, they were comfy, at home, the look on their faces revealed it wasn't their style. She smiled, that smile, you know, the one only he loved so well, her smile gone all Plath, a mouthful of stinging bees ringing his bells. “Tally-ho then Terror, are you ready for Hell? Time for some fire in your life, and going Gangsta in a nice little hot baptismal bath, you will like it, trust me, you will like it real swell.” (LLB/2019) https://youtu.be/k98fnaHGjwU Four to the Floor/Star Sailor “I climb behind the steering wheel… I drive off immediately without once looking back; it’s a long journey but it leads to freedom.” https://youtu.be/BPwZaQfoIbU Billy Idol/Rebel Yell “I love road trips. You get into this Zen rhythm; throw the sense of time out the window.” https://youtu.be/x9j6DE6RnSk Billy Idol/White Wedding
