Dandelions Magical
It all begins with seeds flying on tiny threads- thousands of milky parachutes drifting silky, they are seeking a place- they are seeking a space; to reach into the earth and to their sprouts give birth. Undisturbed they can grow for years and years and years, the dandelion is strong and rich in nectar; beneficial to bees and insects like lady bugs. This dandelion sun flower has great power, soon a bud will unfold and then a bloom of gold; for days the flower shines until withering declines. It forms a seed head that opens into silk strands, that fly on the wind gracefully until landing; some think of dandelions as pesky nuisances, invasive and threatening to green lawns and parks. As a kid I gave them as a bouquet gem, I used to love to blow on a dandelion to see the seeds go; some people even dine on dandelions and make wine. You can cut them down but again they will crown, I've heard of many remedies but I've not heard of any; way to kill, so on my lawn they grow still and still. _____________________________ April 2, 2019 Poetry/Rhyme/Dandelions Magical Copyright Protected, ID 19-1129-519-02 All Rights Reserved.
