Letter To My Friend Lord
Written by: Rodgers Ja Brown Hello Lord Its me again. Seems like a long time since we last spoke. Friends should not be so long silent, but so much has happened Lord. Good and bad, trouble and joy, so much Lord, but if I am not a better man, I am different. Different for all that has transpired, I'm tired Lord, my body, my mind My soul cries out and I reach out but nothing- Nothing but silence and the sight of a thousand expressionless faces do I behold- All in a day Lord I run, I breath and I think- O Lord give me strength to learn, to do and not to judge least I too be judged Help me my friend to find beauty where there is filth, charity where there is deprivation and love Where there is emptiness But more important Lord help me to understand my fellow man, to feel as he feels, and to make him whole To this end Lord shall we not go hand in hand, for you know me so very well and we have traveled this path once before Not as strangers but as old friends
