Music so freeing, I felt I could dance on air. Lyrics so familiar I could sing along. Out of tune of course, but I didn't care. I was lighthearted singing my song. Music had the power to soothe my soul. Lilting notes gently flowing through. It distracted me, I could relax control. You can't resist when it calls to you. Whether the tune was happy or sad. It had a way to find the center of my heart. It could lift my spirit, or make me feel bad. Bringing memories that I had ended to restart. Unexpectedly, the life I knew, died, bringing pain.
