Moon Light Meditation
With the moon’s beaming light, God’s beauty I behold As He invites me to delight by faith in Him Assuring me of His everlasting presence Midst wondrous providence and protection always. Thru the moon’s gleam, I see God’s salvation-radiance Cheering me up when my joy I lose thru doubt Reminding me my Saviour’s sacrificial work With His bruises and wounds for my forgiveness’ strength. The moon’s sparkle brings me God’s blessed contentment While I’m ushered to His replenishing bounty Comforting my soul from sin-caused weariness’ angst Around His caring instruction and warm embrace. Moon walking in brightness* declares God’s near coming Reverberating the call to serve Him with zest Thus, I’m empowered to cling to His grace and zeal Along His wondrous love, tender mercy and kindness. *Job 31:26 If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness… March 12, 2019 1st place, "Liquid Luna Lace" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Chantelle Anne Cooke; judged on 3/17/2019.
