Just Stay
Give me a break For my own sake I adore the time we spent You made my heart less bent Yes indeed...oh, yes indeed.. I am the tiger without his feed Hope you know that I must vent Found myself unable to pay rent Give me a break For my own sake What will wishful thinking lead? Will it plant a seed of mere greed? I need to cope with these emotions I need to clearly cross several oceans Just to get to you Just to be with you Stay here with me for a little while Can't you stay? Oh, can't you stay? I will smile as I run the extra mile Can't you stay? Are you there today? Here I am, falling away into oblivion Here am I, Lord, I accept Your union Sheer fear got me shedding a tear It appears that you are full of cheer Can't you stay? Are you working hard to remain with me today? Can't you stay? Are you okay? I wish you well in all you do, okay? Streams of sweat trickle down my weary face I am at the seams compared to your grace Throw away all negative notions and please pray Happiness and faith will come our way day by day Freeze away the many burns of my heartache Don't tease me with your foot on the brake Still, broken once more and I don't know exactly why Sometimes, I wish I can live free without wanting to die Can't you just stay? Why are you going your own way? I am as boisterous as a mockingbird today and I hear only silent dismay Can't you stay? Can't you stay? What more can I say? Both of us are as wondrous as several rainstorms in the middle of May You're like a stable, reliable aquaduct in my heart always I am but a ruined cable in the streets of loneliness these days I'm not lying once it comes to wanting to stay here forever I am a wandering lamb in the fields of faithless endeavor Don't let guilt manifest in you that hurts you true Don't you ever regret what we've been through Oh dear, your loveless guilt trips Is written on your trembling lips Good grief... Why can't you just stay? Give me relief... Wipe away our dismay I fear the worst more often than not...hope is what I sought! You are truly the best thing I never had, which really says quite a lot... I glaze over the maze of my thoughts Wish I can forget everything to start all over again I gaze at the table full of alcoholic shots And I wish I can numb away my distress in my pen But, then again, this anguish Hasn't left me yet as I have wished You finally realized that you needed me by your side for one last time Now, I have recognized your vacillation, which was fairly far from sublime Give me a break For our own sake Can't you just stay? Can't you not walk away? Don't walk away Don't stray away Just stay...just stay... Everything will be okay If our lives are at stake, Will you stay awake? If I had a break due to heartache, Would you mend me? Would you care for me? Would you set me free? Please abide by my side... Life's not always a joyride... Come to me without your pride Will you vanish away my disdain? Will you wish away my eyes' rain?
