The Fall of the King's Garden
The prince said, who are you golden fruit?Buried so deep in the sun glow? I don't know but help me,just keep me where I can see you. You talked to the shadows. Though what of the flower beds? Cockle shell orchids cried that they will soon bid farewell. They took all the fuss of blossoms in full bloom. What a soothing thing. The carnations recalled the colors they perceived. Dahlias are their shadow counterparts. They grew behind the prince and asked, what have you done to him? Yet fruit said he has done all but left you.You won't accuse him of kindness. The King leads and we follow, but he has abandoned the throne. Princesses of our queen could not behold what was tragic. Lavender won't stop crying. What was done was better off said. Forgive the black tulips who follow down the road. A prince was far ahead and dense trees soon unfolded. What the tulips witnessed was beyond a hellebore's comprehension. The King lied in his cage. Hear the trees speak. Oh dear prince,we kept our silence. For we shall mourn him in the Fall. Tell all the irises we had no choices at all. You laughed at our whispers when the lilies tried to help. Golden fruit is a liar. Fake accidents won't suffice. The fruit wanted to know who exactly the Prince was. Petunias won't tell him,for he is way too far gone. The king never left us,that's the truth that roses shared. I'll be taking his place, said the prince who cut off their heads.
