I Dreamed a Dream
I dreamed a dream of a horse with no rider The blackest of Mustangs as sleek as the rain He bore a tooled saddle with trim of silver As he searched for explorers to ride again For he was descended for a thousand years From warriors and conquerors all of them proud Now he seemed to be in a bevy of fools Who stared at their own hands and mumbled out loud Then came that sad day that the fools began to shout "Hitch that horse to a wagon, he'll pull us all!" In a short moment he was placed in harness And forced to pull fools on an endless phone call The black Mustang was never allowed to breed He pulled the wagon from tower to tower And his bloodline ceased to exist on this Earth Ventures were limited by signal power 2-16-19 Contest: I Dreamed A Dream Sponsor: Silent One
