The Visual Sights I See
A trivial bit of snow right outside my front door The creek slowly moving below This sight I see every year usually with more deer The wood stove is burning keeping me warm With smoke pouring out its pipe twirling up into the sky The fresh sent of wood burning is like a perfume To a woodcarvers sense of smell With bacon and eggs sizzling on top of the stove Coffee percolating drip by drip adds to this delicious smell Honk, honk, beep, beep I do not hear I hear only deer jumping and playing in the snow This silence so deafening my ears are hurting form a lack of sound As I eat my breakfast looking out my front door Gazing on this snow covered sight Poetry attacks me and words flow though my mind Trying to give you a taste of what I see Enjoying this breakfast with me
