Two buildings once reached to the sky, majestic in their sight, Now plundered by some cowards who were hiding in the night. The eagle stopped to view the smoke, the crumble of the steel, And tears began to fill its eyes, the sorrow it did feel. The eagle cries today, I know, but it will fly again, Our freedom and our stern resolve will not bow down to men. The sky will just not be the same, but the eagle will be there-- The symbol for our freedom dear still flies high in the air.
