Tale of a Forgetful Old Man
There once was an old man living all alone, his frail memory often ran away from him like a lean little rat with a long curved tail to hide without trace in a small dark hole. He was immensely fond of travelling around, any time of the year his home he would leave with his brown suitcase like him already old, all his belongings it would carry like a friend. Eager to attend the birthday of the grandchild one morning in mild May flooded by sunshine with a camera and suitcase he started journey across whispering valley, along singing stream. He took snaps of smiling flowers, birds in blue, the pictures that would make the little girl glad. He collected a bunch of wild flowers on the way, made a lively bouquet to convey to her his love. He got tired, sweat ran like rill on cracked land, in a shade he took a nap under the setting sun. Waking up he strode away with wind of twilight, forgetting his things that were all left far behind. Camera, bouquet, and suitcase spent the night in the embrace of each other in moonbeam shine. Coming out of hole his memory brought him back, he was happy his things huddled together, waited. I'd be happy to read the story to my grandchildren.)
