A Long Wait
A LONG WAIT Your name so far away now I don’t remember, but my nascent passion burnt then like ember when in high school on you I’d teen-age crush, out of my memory sweeping time didn’t brush. When your crystalline hazel eyes looked at me you colored my mind with the hues of ecstasy. Your smile set my heart throb on rippled rhyme, felt you’re made for me from beginning of time. So, I dreamt someday you’re going to be mine, on our coupled life sun of pink love would shine. Our future would take ordained course, I knew, but the only one in my obsessed heart was you. I didn’t know what your feeling was about me, I thought my heart I would expose for you to see. One day I asked you to come with me on a date, for the answer a long time you made me to wait.
